Dates and Location

Each farrier course runs for one week (Monday - Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm, and Friday from 9 am to 3 pm).

Alberta Foothills Farrier School horseshoeing courses will be held the following dates in 2025:

Alberta Foothills Farrier School operates at Bar JO Ranch, about 25 kilometres northwest of Cochrane, Alberta, in the beautiful foothills of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

Camping is available at the Ghost Station Campground, located 13 km west of Cochrane on Highway 1A West.

Nearby hotels are in Cochrane (a 25-minute drive) and Canmore (a 40-minute drive).
